As part of my hospitality and travel consulting at LinkedIn, I have been tasked with growing partnerships across executives in our Enterprise sales book. Sales reps often pitch new product offers, strategies, and/or paid strategy that could benefit some of these larger brands. With travel being a growing marketing vertical on LinkedIn, we are doing a series of first-touch style workshops that could benefit their longterm strategy.
With Hilton Hotels, I was tasked with consulting their executive thought leadership approach on LinkedIn. I presented audits and go-to-market strategies for:
- Chief Executive Officer Chris Nassetta
- Chief Human Resources Officer Laura Fuentes
- President Global Brands Chris Silcock
- Chief Financial Officer Kevin Jacobs
- Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs Katherine Lugar
Within this workshop we addressed ways that voices would have their own lanes, combine, post quantities, and nuances to their approaches. For each executive we channeled specific ways they could reach investors, employees, and/or hotel owners. Furthering our creative and content strategy we focused this workshop around Thought Leader Ads. This new ad unit was a first time learning for the Hilton team, and has led to partnership discussions with the Hilton and LinkedIn sales teams.
Additionally, we spent some time discussing celebrity Paris Hilton’s approach on LinkedIn and how it could ladder up to the overall Hilton strategy. Since our workshop, Paris Hilton has spoken to representatives about furthering her efforts on the platform potentially leading to a second workshop.
